  Discoveries today included the first Baird's Sandpiper of the year in Lincolnshire at Frampton Marsh and the first White-rumped Sandpiper of the year in County Wexford at Tacumshin. Elsewhere, a Greenish Warbler was new in Shetland on Whalsay, a Red-rumped Swallow in Argyll on Iona, and in Kent a Black Kite lingered around South Foreland.

Continuing rarities comprised the Trumpeter Finch still in County Wexford, both Black-winged Kite and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Pacific Diver, Rustic Bunting, and King Eider in Shetland, Black-headed Bunting still in Orkney, Gull-billed Tern again in Suffolk, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Broad-billed Sandpiper in Devon, Blue-winged Teal and Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, Iberian Chiffchaff on territory in County Durham, and American Black Tern in Northumberland.

Significant late news concerned a male Collared Flycatcher yesterday in Highland at Insh.
