  The find of the day was a Trumpeter Finch at Great Saltee in County Wexford.

New rarities consisted of a Broad-billed Sandpiper at Dawlish Warren in Devon, Red-footed Falcons at Alkborough Flats in Lincolnshire and south of Warwick in Warwickshire, a Rustic Bunting at Fair Isle in Shetland, a Gull-billed Tern at Cley Marshes in Norfolk, and a Marsh Sandpiper at Lough Beg in County Derry.

Rarities included a Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, a Blue-winged Teal in Somerset, a Pacific Diver in Shetland, a White-winged Scoter in Fife, a Western Subalpine Warbler in Fife, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, an Iberian Chiffchaff in North Yorkshire, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, and King Eiders in Shetland and Highland.
