  New rarities today consisted of Red-footed Falcons at Easington in East Yorkshire, North Foreland in Kent, and at Kynance Cove in Cornwall, a Black Kite at Polegate in East Sussex, Red-rumped Swallows at Spurn and Scarborough in Yorkshire, and a Ferruginous Duck at Llanelli in Carmarthenshire.

Rarities included the Lesser Kestrel still at Croft Pascoe, on The Lizard in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset, King Eider in Shetland, Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Iberian Chiffchaffs in Suffolk and County Durham, Pacific Diver in County Mayo, Marsh Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Red-footed Falcon in Kent, Elegant Tern in County Galway, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Western Subalpine Warbler in Orkney, and a Dusky Warbler in Cornwall.
