| The mega today was a beautiful adult male Lesser Kestrel at Croft Pascoe Woods in Cornwall.
The new rarities consisted of a Western Bonelli's Warbler at Lundy in Devon, Red-footed Falcon at Stodmarsh, Kent, a Great Reed Warbler at Lakenheath Fen in Suffolk, a Red-throated Pipit at Pilning Wetland in Gloucestershire, Bonaparte's Gull at Rainham Marshes in London, and two Red-rumped Swallows at Flamborough in East Yorkshire. Continuing rarities included King Eider in Shetland, Elegant Tern in County Galway, Lesser Scaup in Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall and Dorset, Whiskered Tern in Cornwall, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham and Suffolk, and Tawny Pipit and Zitting Cisticola in Suffolk. |
