| The new rarities today included a drake Black Scoter at Filey in North Yorkshire, Gull-billed Tern in flight past North Foreland in Kent, a Great Reed Warbler at Titchwell RSPB in Norfolk, a Red-rumped Swallow at The Naze in Essex and Western Subalpine Warblers on both North Ronaldsey in Orkney and a likely bird on Tiree in Argyll.
Continuing rarities today included, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Hooded Merganser in Warwickshire, Lesser Scaup in Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Pacific Diver in County Mayo, Marsh Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall and Dorset, Whiskered Tern in Cornwall, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham and Tawny Pipit in Suffolk. |
