Monday 27th April 2026  
  Todays new mega came in the form of a dark morph Booted Eagle in flight over Porthgwarra in Cornwall.

New rarities today included a Sardinian Warbler on the Skellig Islands in County Kerry, a Marsh Sandpiper on the Ythan Estuary in Aberdeenshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff on Barra in the Western Isles and likely the same Red-rumped Swallow which passed south through Grimston and then Spurn in East Yorkshire.

Continuing rarities today included Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Blue-winged Teal in County Clare (2), Hooded Merganser in Warwickshire, King Eider in Shetland, Pacific Diver in County Mayo, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk and County Antrim, Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Elegant Tern in County Galway, Western Subalpine Warbler in County Cork, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham and Suffolk and Dusky Warbler in Cornwall.

Other news from yesterday was of an Eastern Subalpine Warbler trapped and ringed on Lundy in Devon.
