  New rarities today included Red-rumped Swallows at Spurn, East Yorkshire and at Aldbrough, East Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull at Swineham Point, Dorset, Black Kites at Land's End, Cornwall and at Sennen, Cornwall, and White-winged Scoter at Seacliff, Lothian.

Rarities included Lesser Scaups in Hertfordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and County Antrim, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Warwickshire, Hooded Merganser in Warwickshire, Marsh Sandpiper in County Durham, Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset and County Wexford, White-winged Scoter in Fife and Lothian, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Iberian Chiffchaffs in Borders, County Durham and Suffolk, Black Kite in Cornwall, Ferruginous Duck in Hertfordshire, Pacific Diver in County Mayo, Western Subalpine Warblers in Cornwall, and County Wexford, Ashy-headed Wagtail in Anglesey, and American Bittern in County Cork.
