Monday 20th April 2026  
  The new rarities today included Black Scoter in flight at Methil in Fife, a Black Kite in flight at Hook-with-Warsash in Hampshire and a Kentish Plover briefly at Rye Harbour in Kent.

Continuing rarities today included American Bittern in County Cork, Hooded Merganser in Warwickshire, Stejneger's Scoter in Fife, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Shropshire, Ferruginous Duck in Hertfordshire and Warwickshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose on Western Isles (2), Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus and County Wexford, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Western Subalpine Warbler in County Wexford, Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham and Suffolk, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Black Kite in Cornwall.

Significant news from the 13th of April was of a Little Crake in Cleveland at Coatham Marsh.
