  Mega highlights consisted of a Pechora Pipit at Scalloway, Shetland.

New rarities included a Blue-winged Teal at Hayle Estuary, Cornwall, Olive-backed Pipit at The Lizard, Cornwall, Blyth's Reed Warbler at Kessingland, Suffolk, Desert Wheatear at Seasalter, Kent, Dusky Warblers at Unst and Fair Isle, Shetland and at Craster, Northumberland, Eastern Black Redstart at Withernsea, East Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Swilly, Co. Donegal, Pallid Swifts at Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire; Titchwell, Norfolk; and Dover, Kent, and Radde's Warbler at Helvick Head, Co. Waterford.

Continuing rarities included Black-faced Bunting in Shetland, Daurian Shrike in Co. Wexford, Dusky Warblers in Leicestershire, East Yorkshire, Norfolk, Kent, Northumberland, Shetland, and Pembrokeshire, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Harlequin Duck in Co. Donegal, Lesser Scaup in Northants and Co. Antrim, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Anglesey, Lesser Scaups in Cornwall, Olive-backed Pipit in Cleveland, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Pallid Swift in Kent, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Cumbria, White-rumped Sandpiper in Angus and Co. Derry, White-winged Scoter in Co. Kerry, and Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk.
