Rarities today in Britain comprised the Brown Shrike still in Suffolk, Isabelline Wheatear and Steppe Grey Shrike both still in Shetland, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Baikal Teal in Dorset, a Gull-billed Tern briefly in Lincolnshire at Sandilands, Radde's Warbler in Orkney, Lesser Scaup in the Western Isles on South Uist, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, White-rumped Sandpiper in Staffordshire, and Ferruginous Duck in Lincolnshire.

In Ireland the Harlequin Duck remains in County Donegal, a Northern Harrier, Lesser Yellowlegs, and Lesser Scaup together in County Wexford, Laughing Gull in County Kerry, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, and two White-rumped Sandpipers in County Londonderry.
