| An Eastern Bonelli's Warbler was found on Unst, Shetland, with the Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler and Blyth's Reed Warbler also remaining on the island, and the Blue-winged Teal lingered on Mainland. An American Pipit arrived on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, with a new Baird's Sandpiper joining the long staying individual on St Kilda, Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups were found at Stanford Reservoir (the first for Northamptonshire) and Loch Leven, Perth and Kinross.
Other lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Western Sandpiper in Ayrshire, Marsh Sandpiper in Lothian, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cambridgeshire, Baird's Sandpiper in Western Isles, two White-winged Scoters in Angus and Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire. |
