A singing Zitting Cisticola near Walberswick in Suffolk was the standout bird of the day.
Also noted were an Elegant Tern flying south past Annagh Head in County Mayo, and Black Kites over Blandford Forum in Dorset and Winterbourne Dauntsey in Wiltshire. Continuing rarities included a Black Stork in Suffolk, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Lesser Yellowlegs in Lancashire, and Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire, a Gull-billed Tern in Kent, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire. |
