The highlight of the day was the discovery of an Alpine Accentor on the Isle of Wight at Blackgang; perhaps the bird from Cornwall relocating.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the American Coot still in Shetland, Forster's Tern still in Dorset, Least Sandpiper still in West Sussex, Western Subalpine Warbler in County Cork, Blue-winged Teal and Long-billed Dowitcher together in County Wexford, Alpine Swift briefly in Gloucestershire, Red-footed Falcon reported briefly in Kent, two Richardson's Cackling Geese together in the Western Isles, and Lesser Scaups in Dorset and Essex (2).
