| The identity of the American Pipit at Ross Back Sands, Northumberland was confirmed today, with it remaining in the area all day. A Desert Wheatear was found in a car park at Pendine, Carmarthenshire, and a white Gyr Falcon was at Durlston Country Park in Dorset this afternoon.
Lingering rarities included the American Coot in Shetland, Ross's Gull in County Durham, Least Sandpiper in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Hampshire, Long-billed Dowitcher and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Lesser Scaups in County Cork, Essex, Staffordshire and Perth and Kinross, Ferruginous Ducks in London, Hertfordshire, Warwickshire and Lincolnshire, Pacific Diver in County Cork and White-billed Diver in Northumberland. |
