  The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Scarlet Tanager at Shelf, West Yorkshire where it was present all day albeit elusive at times.

Discoveries included a Hooded Merganser in Wiltshire at Ramsbury, a Kentish Plover in Devon at Bantham, and a White-billed Diver on Whalsay, Shetland Isles.

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Pied Wheatear in East Sussex, Hume's Warbler in Cornwall, Penduline Tit in Cheshire, Eastern Stonechat species in Suffolk, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoters in Angus, County Kerry, and Lothian, Northern Harriers in both County Cork and County Wexford, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher on the Orkney Isles, White-rumped Sandpipers in County Cork, Gloucestershire and County Wexford (2), Lesser Scaups in Devon, Fife, Staffordshire, and County Wexford (2), and Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire.
