  Discoveries today included a Lesser Grey Shrike in Northumberland at Amble, a Hume's Warbler in East Yorkshire at Easington, an Olive-backed Pipit on the Shetland Isles on Fair Isle, and in Kent a Long-billed Dowitcher at Cliffe Pools, Kent (here it was first seen yesterday).

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Northern Harrier in County Wexford, White-winged Scoter in Shetland, Desert Wheatear in East Sussex, Eastern Stonechat species in Suffolk, Pallid Harriers in Devon and Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon and Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpipers in Devon and County Cork, Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire, and Lesser Scaups in Fife, Staffordshire, and County Wexford (2).
