  New discoveries today included a Stejneger's Scoter off Craigielaw, Lothian, Lesser Scaups at Beesands, Devon and Cahore, County Wexford (the latter joining the long staying two), Pallid Swifts at Donna Nook, Lincolnshire and Tiumpan Head, Western Isles, a White-rumped Sandpiper at Myroe, County Derry, a Black Kite at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and a White-billed Diver off Portknockie, Moray.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Northern Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher and White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, further Long-billed Dowitchers in Devon, Norfolk and Orkney, further White-rumped Sandpipers in County Donegal (three), Devon and Gloucestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Wiltshire, Canvasback in Essex, Ferruginous Ducks in London and Warwickshire, Lesser Scaups in Staffordshire and Fife, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland, Pallid Harriers in Devon and Norfolk, Desert Wheatear in Sussex and a probable Amur Stonechat in Suffolk.
