  New discoveries today included a Red-eyed Vireo at Durlston Country Park, Dorset, Hume's Warblers at Tresinwen, Pembrokeshire and Dursey Island, County Cork, a Radde's Warbler on St Mary's, Scilly, a Dusky Warbler at Levenwick, Shetland, a White-winged Scoter at Lunan Bay, Angus, a Long-billed Dowitcher at Tacumshin, County Wexford, White-rumped Sandpipers at Ballycotton, County Cork and on Benbecula, Western Isles and a White-billed Diver off Lossiemouth, Moray.

Lingering rarity highlights included the Black-faced Bunting, Booted Warbler and Long-billed Dowitcher in Orkney, Desert Wheatear in Sussex, two Northern Harriers, Blue-winged Teal and two Lesser Scaups in County Wexford, another of the latter in Staffordshire, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Spotted Sandpiper in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in Devon, Long-billed Dowitcher, Lesser Yellowlegs and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim and two Scopoli's Shearwaters were seen off Scilly.
