| The highlight of the day was a Hudsonian Godwit in Cheshire at Burton Mere Wetlands, where it had first been seen yesterday. Elsewhere, a Lesser Grey Shrike was new on the Shetland Isles at Channerwick, Mainland, a Fea's Petrel species and a Scopoli's Shearwater passed Bridges of Ross, County Clare, and a Fea's Petrel species was off the Skellig Islands, County Kerry.
Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Canvasback in Essex, Stejneger's Scoter and Baird's Sandpiper both in Lothian, Semipalmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, Caspian Tern in West Yorkshire, Alpine Swift on the Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Ferruginous Ducks in both Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire. |
