| The highlight of the day was confirmation that the Canvasback returned to Abberton Reservoir, Essex yesterday and remained there today.
Rarities elsewhere comprised Cliff Swallows on the Isles of Scilly and the Western Isles, Stejneger's Scoter and Baird's Sandpiper both still in Lothian, Semipalmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, Caspian Tern in Fife and West Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Northamptonshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk and County Wexford, Alpine Swift briefly in East Sussex, Ferruginous Ducks in Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire. |
