The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Cliff Swallow on the Western Isles on St Kilda whilst another Cliff Swallow remained on the Isles of Scilly. Elsewhere, a Caspian Tern was briefly in West Yorkshire at Swillington Ings, and a Lesser Yellowlegs was found at Lilbourne, Northamptonshire.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were both Stejneger's Scoter and Baird's Sandpiper in Lothian, Semipalmated Sandpiper in West Sussex, White-rumped Sandpipers in Norfolk (six), County Wexford, and East Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and Ferruginous Duck in Buckinghamshire.
