  New discoveries today included Red-rumped Swallows in Shetland at Loch of Brow, and Angelsey at Cemlyn Bay, Rustic Buntings in Shetland on both Fair Isle and Foula, Great Reed Warblers in Fife at Fife Ness, North Yorkshire at Wheldrake, and Shetland on Fair Isle, Black-winged Stilts in Essex at East Tilbury(2), and Norfolk at Snettisham, and a Subalpine Warbler in Shetland also on Fair Isle.

Lingering rarities included the Semipalmated Sandpiper in Western Isles, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Black Kite in Western Isles, Red-footed Falcon in Cumbria and three in Kent, Savi's Warblers in East Yorkshire, Red-rumped Swallows in Shetland and Anglesey, Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire, and Black-winged Stilt in Cambridgeshire.
