| Highlights today consisted of a Great Reed Warbler in Cambridgeshire at Ouse Fen, Citrine Wagtail in Sussex at Lancing, White-billed Diver on Shetland at Bluemull Sound, Blue-winged Teal in Berkshire at Crookham Common, Subalpine Warbler sp in Devon on Lundy, and Thrush Nightingales in Shetland at both Hillwell and Cunningsburgh, and in Orkney on North Ronaldsay. Another notable feature of the day was a mass arrival of Red-backed Shrikes, mostly on Shetland and Orkney.
Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Savi's Warbler on territory in Leicestershire, Cleveland, and East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose and Black-winged Stilt in Lincolnshire, Great Reed Warbler in Nottinghamshire, and American Black Tern in Northumberland. |
