  New discoveries today included an Eastern Subalpine Warbler at Quendale, Shetland, a Pallid Harrier at Cleeve Common, Gloucestershire, a Black Kite at Doffocker, Greater Manchester, a Gull-billed Tern at Newburgh, Aberdeenshire, a Whiskered Tern at Dungeness, Kent, a Ferruginous Duck at Whelford, Gloucestershire and an Alpine Swift over Edmonston, London. A Thrush Nightingale was on Whalsay, Shetland for its third day.

Lingering rarities included the Savi's Warblers in Yorkshire and County Louth, two Gull-billed Terns in Western Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and County Louth, Black-winged Stilts in Essex, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal and four White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire.
