The highlight of the day was the appearance of an Alpine Accentor at Pitstone Hill, Buckinghamshire. Found mid afternoon the bird then showed to all comers until late in the evening.

Rarities discovered elsewhere today comprised a Lesser Scaup in Worcestershire at Ripple, two White-billed Divers around the Shetland Isles, and brief encounters with a Subalpine Warbler species in Cumbria at Silecroft, an Iberian Chiffchaff in Lancashire at Roddlesworth Wood, and an Alpine Swift in Devon at Axminster.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the two Gull-billed Terns together on the Western Isles, territorial Savi's Warblers in both County Louth and East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Perth and Kinross, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, Spanish Wagtail on the Isle of Man, Lesser Yellowlegs in each of Essex, Lincolnshire, County Louth, and East Yorkshire, and single Black-winged Stilts in Essex, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire.
