  The first Cape May Warbler for England was discovered in Scilly today, where it showed exceptionally well near Church Quay on Bryher. Single Penduline Tits were found at Fishers Green NR, Essex and Rye Meads RSPB, Hertfordshire, and a Lesser Yellowlegs was at Swine Moor, Yorkshire.

Lingering rarities still present included the Little Crake in Buckinghamshire, Bufflehead and Lesser Scaup in County Antrim (with the latter species also in Devon and Clyde), Blue-winged Teal in Yorkshire, Ferruginous Ducks in Dorset and Cambridgeshire, Red-breasted Geese in Norfolk and Northumberland, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire and Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk.
