Discoveries today included a White's Thrush in Lancashire at Southport, the first Bufflehead of the year, in County Antrim near Portrush, and now two Red-breasted Geese together in Norfolk at Wells. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Little Crake in Buckinghamshire, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Blue-winged Teal in East Yorkshire, Dusky Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, White-rumped Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Norfolk and East Sussex, Lesser Scaup in County Donegal, and a Ferruginous Duck in Dorset. Late news for yesterday included the Forster's Tern still present in Dorset at Arne. |
