The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Short-toed Treecreeper in Kent at Dungeness, with a Long-billed Dowitcher new in East Sussex at Cuckmere Haven, a Blyth's Reed Warbler in Lincolnshire at Anderby Creek, and two Baird's Sandpipers together in County Cork at Clonakilty.

On the Isles of Scilly a Red-eyed Vireo was new on Bryher, with Radde's Warbler and Little Bunting on St Mary's, and Common Rosefinch, Red-backed Shrike, Wryneck, Lapland Bunting, Glossy Ibis, two Great Shearwaters, six Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 18 Cory's Shearwaters around the islands.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Yellow Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Black-and-white Warbler in County Galway, Northern Harrier and Squacco Heron in Cornwall, Red-breasted Goose in Northumberland, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kerry, Squacco Heron in Somerset, Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, two Blue-winged Teals together in East Yorkshire, Semipalmated Sandpipers in County Dublin and Lincolnshire, and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Donegal, Essex, and Lincolnshire.
