  Seawatching today produced single Barolo Shearwaters off Porthgwarra, Cornwall and Brandon Point, County Kerry, two Wilson's Petrels also off the latter site and another off Kilcummin Head, County Mayo, along with totals of 42 Cory's Shearwaters, four Great Shearwaters, around 297 Balearic Shearwaters (including 248 off Start Point, Devon) and a Pomarine Skua.

Elsewhere, the Forster's Tern reappeared at Lytchett Bay, Dorset and an Alpine Swift was at Bembridge, Isle of Wight.

Lingering rarities included the Least Tern and Caspian Tern in County Dublin, pratincole species in County Donegal, Black Duck in County Mayo, Lesser Scaup, three Bee-eaters and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire (eight), Lincolnshire (ten) and Gloucestershire and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Scarcity highlights included a White-spotted Bluethroat, a Red-backed Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Purple Heron, three Night Herons, two Glossy Ibises, a Ring-necked Duck, a Tundra Bean Goose and three Pectoral Sandpipers.
