  New discoveries today included a Pacific Golden Plover at Musselburgh, Lothian, two Black-winged Stilts at Holland Haven, Essex, a Red-footed Falcon and a Bee-eater at Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe, Norfolk, a further Bee-eater at Strathkinness, Fife and a Black Kite at Bingham, Nottinghamshire.

Lingering rarities included the Little Crake in Cambridgeshire, Black-winged Stilts in Yorkshire (two) and Gloucestershire, three Bee-eaters in Norfolk and King Eider in Aberdeenshire.

Scarcity highlights included an Icterine Warbler, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Common Rosefinch, a Red-backed Shrike, a White-spotted Bluethroat, a Rose-coloued Starling, five Marsh Warblers, a Montagu's Harrier, a Honey Buzzard, a Purple Heron, three Night Herons, a Glossy Ibis, an American Golden Plover, a Ring-necked Duck, 50 Cory's Shearwaters and a Pomarine Skua.
