  New discoveries today included a Rustic Bunting and Blyth's Reed Warbler on Fair Isle and another Blyth's Reed Warbler on Foula, both Shetland, a Black Kite over North Foreland, Kent and Bee-eaters in Suffolk (up to eight) and Forth.

Lingering rarities included the Little Crake in Cambridgeshire, Great Reed Warbler in Cleveland, three Bee-eaters in Norfolk, American Black Tern in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Wexford, Black-winged Stilts in Norfolk (two), Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire and Yorkshire (two), King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk and White-billed Diver in Highland.

Scarcity highlights included a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a White-spotted Bluethroat, a Hoopoe, a Common Rosefinch, a Rose-coloured Starling, three Icterine Warblers, three Red-backed Shrikes, 11 Marsh Warblers, a White-winged Black Tern, two Honey Buzzards, three Night Herons and a Ring-necked Duck.
