Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, Greater Yellowlegs stil in County Waterford, Baikal Teal in Gwynedd, Hume's Warblers in both Kent and Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Surrey, and Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (County Durham), Little Bunting (Cornwall), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Ring-billed Gull (County Kerry), Sabine's Gull and Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), Snow Goose (County Offaly), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two each of American Wigeon, Surf Scoter, and Green-winged Teal, eight Ring-necked Ducks, nine Shorelarks, and a total of 57 Waxwings.
