Rarities today comprised the White-winged Scoter still in County Mayo, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Baikal Teal in Gwynedd, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Somerset, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Lesser Scaup in Surrey, and King Eiders in both Cleveland and Lothian.

Scarcities included Sabine's Gull and Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), Black Brant (Essex), two each of both Pallas's Warbler and American Wigeon, three of Surf Scoter and Green-winged Teal, four Ring-billed Gulls, six Glossy Ibises, nine of Ring-necked Duck and Shorelark, and a total of 52 Waxwings.
