  Lingering birds still present today included the Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Hume's Warbler, Kentish Plover and Lesser Scaup in Somerset, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Pacific Diver in Fife, White-winged Scoter and Black Duck in County Mayo, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Scaup in Surrey, King Eider in Cleveland, Long-billed Dowitcher, Pallid Harrier, Richardson's Cackling Goose and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Ferruginous Duck in County Tyrone and Forster's Tern in County Galway.

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Lapland Bunting, two Little Buntings, 13 Shorelarks, 36 Waxwings, four Glossy Ibises, a Surf Scoter, four American Wigeon, a Green-winged Teal, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, two Taiga Bean Geese, 14 Tundra Bean Geese, two Black Brants, a Sabine's Gull, a Ring-billed Gull, six Glaucous Gulls and 25 Iceland Gulls.
