  Lingering birds still present today included the Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Hume's Warbler, Kentish Plover and Lesser Scaup in Somerset, White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, other Lesser Scaups in Surrey and Western Isles, King Eider in Cleveland and Long-billed Dowitcher, Pallid Harrier and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk.

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Little Buntings, 17 Shorelarks, 28 Waxwings, eight Glossy Ibises, a Surf Scoter, an American Wigeon, three Green-winged Teal, 16 Ring-necked Ducks, a Taiga Bean Goose, three Tundra Bean Geese, two Black Brants, a Little Auk, a Sabine's Gull, a Ring-billed Gull, ten Glaucous Gulls and 13 Iceland Gulls.
