Rarities today comprised White-winged Scoter and Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll both still in County Mayo, Isabelline Wheatear still in Cornwall, Pacific Diver in Fife, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Mayo and Norfolk, Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk (2) and County Tyrone, and Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Surrey, and the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (Lancashire), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), American Wigeon (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (Highland), two Snow Geese, three each of both Ring-billed Gull and Black Brant, four Surf Scoters, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Glossy Ibises, 16 Shorelarks, and a total of 74 Waxwings.

Significant late news from yesterday concerned the Pallid Harrier still in Argyll on Islay.
