| Lingering rarities seen today included the Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Hume's Warblers in Somerset and Kent, Penduline Tit also in Kent, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll, White-winged Scoter and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, two Ferruginous Ducks, Richardson's Cackling Goose and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Surrey and County Armagh, King Eider in Cleveland, Kentish Plover in Somerset and Pacific Diver in Fife.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Richard's Pipit, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Little Buntings, two Lapland Buntings, 13 Shorelarks, 39 Waxwings, an American Wigeon, two Surf Scoters, three Green-winged Teal, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, two Black Brants, three Taiga Bean Geese, five Tundra Bean Geese, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, five Glossy Ibises, a Sabine's Gull, two Kumlien's Gulls, four Iceland Gulls and seven Glaucous Gulls. |
