  Lingering rarities seen today included the Harlequin Duck in Western Isles, White-winged Scoter, Hooded Merganser and Black Duck in County Mayo, Lesser Scaups in Surrey and Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Goose, Ferruginous Duck and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Red-breasted Goose in Cumbria, Cackling Goose in Argyll, Pacific Diver in Fife, Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Hume's Warbler and two Penduline Tits in Kent and another Hume's Warbler and another Penduline Tit in Somerset.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Richard's Pipit, two Little Buntings, three Yellow-browed Warblers, 14 Shorelarks, 50 Waxwings, six Glossy Ibises, two American Wigeon, two Surf Scoters, three Green-winged Teals, ten Ring-necked Ducks, two Snow Geese, two Black Brants, two Todd's Canada Geese, three Tundra Bean Geese, a Sabine's Gull, a Kumlien's Gull, nine Iceland Gulls and nine Glaucous Gulls.
