Highlights today included a Falcated Duck in Lincolnshire at Covenham Reservoir, a Pacific Diver confirmed in Fife at Leven, a Richardson's Cackling Goose new in Norfolk at Brancaster, and a Lesser Scaup in County Mayo at Rostaff Lough.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoter, Black Duck, and Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Harlequin Duck and Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, Isabelline Wheatear in Cornwall, Hume's Warblers in Kent and Somerset, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Kentish Plover and Penduline Tit in Somerset, King Eider in Cleveland, Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Surrey, and the Western Isles, and Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk (2) and County Tyrone.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Shetland), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Green-winged Teal (Isle of Man), Kumlien's Gull (County Galway), two each of American Wigeon, Surf Scoter, Snow Goose, and Yellow-browed Warbler, six Ring-necked Ducks, seven Glossy Ibises, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 45 Waxwings.
