Rarities today comprised White-winged Scoters still in both Lothian and County Mayo, Baikal Teal still in Powys, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in Kent, Norfolk, and Somerset, two Penduline Tits together in Kent, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in Cornwall, King Eider in Cleveland, and Lesser Scaups in Somerset, Surrey, and the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Sabine's Gull and Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Lapland Bunting (County Cork), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), Kumlien's Gull (County Kerry), two each of both Ring-billed Gull and Yellow-browed Warbler, three American Wigeons, seven Ring-necked Ducks, nine Glossy Ibises, 17 Shorelarks, and a total of 48 Waxwings.
