The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the immature Black-browed Albatross in Cornwall where it again flew past St Ives Island.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Hume's Warblers in Kent, Norfolk and Somerset, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Red-breasted Goose in Argyll, King Eider in Cleveland, Kentish Plover in Somerset, and Lesser Scaups in both Somerset and Surrey.

Scarcities included Sabine's Gull (Hampshire), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Lapland Bunting (Lincolnshire), Black Brant (Hampshire), two each of American Wigeon, Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler and Kumlien's Gull, four of Green-winged Teal and Glossy Ibis, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Waxwings, and at total of 21 Shorelarks.
