Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim, White-winged Scoters in both Lothian and County Mayo, Laughing Gull in Devon, Baikal Teal in Powys, Pallid Harrier, Hume's Warbler, and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, three Penduline Tits together in County Cork, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Scaups in Somerset and Western Isles, and Ferruginous Ducks in both Norfolk and County Tyrone.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Rough-legged Buzzard (East Sussex), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), two each of both Sabine's Gull and Yellow-browed Warbler, three of Ring-billed Gull and American Wigeon, four Green-winged Teals, eight Glossy Ibises, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, 21 Shorelarks, and 27 Waxwings.
