| A Lesser Scaup was a new discovery today on the Somerset Levels.
Lingering rarities still present included the Baikal Teal in Powys, Isabelline Wheatear and Laughing Gull in Devon, three Penduline Tits in County Cork, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, White-winged Scoters in Lothian and County Mayo, Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, King Eider in Cleveland and Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford. Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, 19 Shorelarks, 28 Waxwings, a Black-bellied Dipper, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Black Brants, four Taiga Bean Geese, a Lady Amherst's Pheasant, four Glossy Ibises, three Grey Phalaropes, two Little Auks, a Ring-billed Gull, two Sabine's Gulls, two Glaucous Gulls, three Iceland Gulls and a Kumlien's Gull. |
