| New discoveries today were a Red-breasted Goose at Salt Coates, Cumbria, belated news of both a Harlequin Duck off Coll, Argyll, and a Black Duck at Llanrhidian Marsh, Glamorgan
Rarities comprised of the Lesser Scaup in Fife, Pallid Harrier, Long-billed Dowitcher, and Hume's Warbler all in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in Kent, King Eider in Cleveland, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Greater Yellowlegs in County Waterford, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, and Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim. Scarcities included a Sabine's Gull, Snow Goose, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, Black Brant, three Yellow-browed Warblers, five Balearic Shearwaters, three Glossy Ibises, two Little Auks, Rough-legged Buzzard, three Glaucous Gulls, three Ring-necked Ducks, two Green-winged Teals, Kumlien's Gull, eight Iceland Gulls, American Wigeon, nine Waxwings, and a total of 11 Shorelarks. |
