Rarities today comprised Hume's Warblers still in Norfolk and Northumberland, Penduline Tit in East Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, King Eider in Cleveland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll at Kilmichael, Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, and Dusky Warblers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (2). Scarcities included Serin (Scilly), Little Bunting (London), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Surf Scoter (Moray), Great Grey Shrike (Northumberland), Dotterel (Kent), Lapland Bunting (Norfolk), Long-tailed Skua (East Yorkshire), two American Wigeons, three Black Brants, five each of both Ring-billed Gull and Yellow-browed Warbler, six Green-winged Teals, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, 15 Shorelarks, 20 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 158 Waxwings. |
