Rarities today comprised the Hooded Merganser still in County Mayo, Hume's Warbler, Long-billed Dowitcher, and three Ferrugionus Ducks in Norfolk, Spotted Sandpiper in Essex, two Penduline Tits together in East Sussex, King Eider in Cleveland, and Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim.

Scarcities included Little Bunting (London), Barred Warbler (County Mayo), Rough-legged Buzzard (Orkney Isles), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), Surf Scoter (Moray), Dotterel (Kent), Black Brant (Dorset), Kumlien's Gull (Shetland Isles), two each of both American Wigeon and Yellow-browed Warbler, three Green-winged Teals, eight Glossy Ibises, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 108 Waxwings.
