  The sixth Myrtle Warbler for the Isles of Scilly was found at Old Town Church today, after a gap of over 17 years. A Penduline Tit was at How Hill, Norfolk and a Black Kite flew over Frampton, Gloucestershire.

Lingering rarities included the Wilson's Snipe, Red-flanked Bluetail and Dusky Warbler in Scilly, Hume's Warblers in Borders, Northumberland (two) and County Durham and Pallid Harrier and three Ferrugnous Ducks in Norfolk.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Little Bunting, a Richard's Pipit, a Lapland Bunting, three Great Grey Shrikes, four Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Shorelarks, at least 218 Waxwings, a Rough-legged Buzzard, two Grey Phalaropes, a Green-winged Teal, four Ring-necked Ducks, a Tundra Bean Goose, two Taiga Bean Geese, six Glossy Ibises, eight Leach's Petrels, 22 Little Auks, a Long-tailed Skua, five Pomarine Skuas, two Sabine's Gulls, a Ring-billed Gull and a Kumlien's Gull.
