Discoveries today included a Hume's Warbler in Northumberland at Low Newton-by-the-Sea, a Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim at Ballygalley, and a Black Kite reported in Kent at Istead Rise.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Hooded Merganser in County Mayo, Pallid Harrier and Ferruginous Duck in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in both Borders and Northumberland, Penduline Tit in Cheshire, Red-flanked Bluetail on the Isles of Scilly, and King Eider on the Shetland Isles.

Scarcities included American Golden Plover and Little Bunting (Orkney Isles), Richard's Pipit (Scilly), Great Grey Shrike (Hampshire), Lapland Bunting (Essex), Snow Goose (Dumfries and Galloway), two each of both American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, three Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 118 Waxwings.
