Rarities in Ireland today comprised Hooded Merganser, Black Duck, and Cackling Goose in County Mayo, Lesser Scaup still in County Donegal, and in County Kerry a Bonaparte's Gull new at Tralee. In Britain the Isabelline Wheatear remained in Gwynedd, Pallid Harrier and two Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk, Hume's Warblers in Borders and Northumberland, Penduline Tit in Cheshire, Red-flanked Bluetail on the Isles of Scilly, and a Red-rumped Swallow in Kent.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Kent), Little Bunting (Orkney Isles), Hoopoe (Kent), American Wigeon (Somerset), Glossy Ibis (Cheshire), two each of Richard's Pipit, Lapland Bunting, Sabine's Gull, Snow Goose, and Green-winged Teal, three Great Grey Shrikes, 11 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 191 Waxwings.
