	New discoveries today included a Red-flanked Bluetail at Ambergate, Derbyshire, an Olive-backed Pipit on St Mary's, Scilly, a Red-throated Pipit at Norby, Shetland, single Radde's Warblers at St Just, Cornwall and on Cape Clear, County Cork and a Dusky Warbler at Durlston, Dorset. Lingering rarities included the Pied Wheater in Northumberland, Isabelline Wheatear and Arctic Warbler in County Cork, Penduline Tit in Scilly, Olive-backed Pipit in Shetland, two Pallid Swifts in Moray, Red-rumped Swallow in Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier and Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Merseyside and Aberdeenshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Western Isles and County Donegal, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter in Northumberland and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo. Scarcity highlights included a Melodious Warbler, Pallas's Warbler, a Marsh Warbler, a Little Bunting, a Hoopoe, three Wrynecks, five Great Grey Shrikes, six Lapland Buntings, nine Shorelarks, 47 Waxwings, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, six Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, four Taiga Bean Geese, 14 Glossy Ibises, six Little Auks, a Pectoral Sandpiper, six Grey Phalaropes, a Great Shearwater, a Cory's Shearwater, 51 Leach's Petrels, a Sabine's Gull, a Ring-billed Gull, an Iceland Gull, a Long-tailed Skua and 53 Pomarine Skuas.
